The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences
I collapsed on my table, half-lidded eyes peering over at the clock perched on my desk. "01:23am" the digits gleefully flashing in front of me, jeering me, taunting me as if saying "You've missed the dateline again". I groaned, sitting up straight only for my head to crash down onto the polished wood. What was I to do? It was the third assignment I've been unable to complete for the Home-Based Learning this week and I feared that I may never get another chance.
Another round of excuses floated through my sub-consciousness. 'I was sleepy', 'I had more important stuff on', 'My parents dragged me out of the house' and even 'I couldn't be bothered to do the assignment' became part of an imaginary list of answers for my teachers impending interrogation. As I imagined sitting in the detention room serving my sentence, with my Ez-Link card and prized mobile phone happily gathering a collection of dust on my teacher's table, I sighed, slouching over the keyboard to hit 'Enter' and submit my horribly overdue work.
To think I was an overachiever, the perfectionist and even the monstrously criticised 'Teacher's Pet', I've somehow slid from the top of the charts to this bottomless pit of failure and disappointment, with each 'wonderful' day getting worse and worse. "I hate Murphy's Law," I muttered under my breath, standing up and lumbering off to bed, awaiting the onslaught of nightmares to come, all the while praying for the miracle that would never come.

The fall! Ignoring deadlines and its consequences.
Lateness is often accompanied by one or more dire consequences that may greatly affect one's lives. It may seem preposterous that one may lose his or her job by simply delaying the submission of work assigned. It may bring about disastrous effects such as poverty and many more. This is not something as simple as a student completing and handing in the assignment within the given deadline as a form of assurance that the teacher would not be "chasing after".By not meeting deadlines, it may warrant one to have his/her privileges taken away, forcefully, without mercy or empathy.
-Bryan Soon (03)
"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Ignoring dealines means to take a task that has been give to you lightly and not meeting the task's objectives. Anyone cane easily ignore dealines for a task by forgetting about the task or to submit it later than its deadline. For example, at school when the teacher instructs us to complete a homework or a project in a certain time, many will tend to forget about it and ignore the deadline.
Ignoring the deadline reflects on your character and carries with you in your entire life. Usually, a person who always ignore deadlines will be someone who is irresponsible and tend not treat things seriously. It can also strains the relationships with people. For example, in the school if a student always ignores deadlines, his or her friends will lessly likely to trust the student, especially when working together for a group project.
In work, the person might get scolded by his boss for not handling a task well. It might even affect the entire company's performance and reputation. It will also cause the lack of trust among his collegues and boss who are working with him.
However, personally I felt that it affects how people think and look at you the most. Think about it? How will you think about a person who often ignore deadline? In school, the student will lose trust form his friends and more likely lesser friends He can be regarded as a "bad" student. In work, the person will less likely to get respect from his or her collegue, supervisor or even a person who has lower rank than that person.
Thus, treat deadlines carefully and remember to submit your work on time!

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Deadlines and consequences are verty important in whatever we do. If we do not do things finish by deadlines, it is as good breaking a promise to someone, as deadlines area promises to do something finish by that certain date. We also have to mind the conseqeunces when we do things as we could make a fatal mistake when we do things without thinking of the consequences. This are attributes of life that we must note, and if we do not do them, we end up in a bad condition. FINISH!!
- By darren loh
Have you realised that you always have to complete a certain piece of work by a specific time? That you sometimes find yourself rushing out a last-minute project? Basically, all this is known as a deadline; the time by which something must be done or completed. But not everybody follows the deadlines that are given to them.
What happens when we start ignoring deadlines? If we are schooling, we face different punishments that are decided by the seriousness of our mistakes and the teacher who is in-charge. We may get punishments like standing in class, getting demerit points or the teacher may call our parents. All this may not seem like a big deal to us. However, in actual fact, the consequences of ignoring deadlines can be very serious; and this will greatly affect us. Why is this so? Because when we start ignoring deadlines very often, it becomes a habit, a habit which is hard to kick. And this habit will follow us when we grow up and start working.
We have to understand that the consequences of ignoring deadlines when you are working in an office and when you are schooling , is vastly different. When we fail to complete the assignment we are given when we are working, it will have many effects on us. Our boss starts to lose trust in us and our colleagues find it hard to entrust us with anything. This is all because, it reflects very badly on our character, that we are an irresponsible person. This way, in work, a person who ignores deadlines will not be able to get a good position; he will not be able to be recognised by his boss and colleagues. And this for sure, is not something to be proud of.
Thus, I feel that we should never ignore deadlines. As the old saying goes, ‘nothing gets accomplished without a deadline’. We should always try to stick to our deadlines and have proper time management so as to be able to meet the deadlines we are given. Or else, we need to be prepared for ‘the fall’ and suffer dire consequences in life.

"The fall! Ignoring deadlines and its Consequences"
Ignoring deadline is a common trade between teenagers of our generation . Although it is wrong to do so and the consequences may be deadly , many people still continue doing it . In my case , being a student , ignoring a deadline might result in a deuction of marks from our " Social Emotional Learning " . As for people who are already slogging it out in the society working under bosses , ignoring a deadline might affect the progress of their company and they may in turn be fired . In my opinion , it is not right to ignore deadlines and it is our responsibility to accomplish our task on time .

The fall !! Ignoring deadlines and its consequences
Deadlines is a time given to complete or submit the assignments given. We students are always given deadlines to do our homeworks and projects .If we ignore the deadlines ,it will cause our grade to fall back ,and lose out to others .If we do not realise the consequences of ignoring deadlines and continue ,we will lose our sense of responsibility. This can affect our future as people would not wan a worker who is unable to follow the deadlines and affect the company's business .

"Deadlines" On a dictionary ,it is the time by which something must be finished or submitted .
As a students ,a deadlines is given for homeworks or projects .If we ignore the deadlines , it shows that we do not bother or give he teacher a bad impression ,it also affect your studies as you are unable to finish things on time .As you grow up ,deadlines will be given for assignments,if not compeleted on time ,it will give the boss a very bad impression and uncapable of doing it .As you slowly grows up ignoring dedlines ,you will lose your sense of responsiblilty and people might even lose trust in you .

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Deadlines are something that everyone has to face. There is no way of avoiding it, as anything would have a deadline, a date whereby you would have to finish your assignments or your job. When teachers give students homework, what students dread the most would be the deadline of the homework. If we fail to hand in the assignment before the deadline, our teachers would give us another chance, or we would be severely dealt with. However, if such things continue to happen when we are working , the boss would be not satisfied with handing assignments late and would might even get sacked . This is one of the consequences. However, there are many ways to stop that from happening. People should not hand in their assignments late, to be more punctual so that they would not get the same consequences again. We should also manage our time well so that we would not ignore the deadline and be occupied with other stuffs .
Su Ning (12) :>
"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Ignore deadlines of an assignment or work set to a person, and he/she will fall when the person suffer the consequences. When homework is given to a student, there will always be a deadline.
And the student will have a choice of whether he/she wants to do the work before the deadline. If the choice is to complete it after the deadline, it shows that the student have no interest in it and rush it instead. In return, he/she will not gain knowledge. As time goes by, he/she will not be able to cope with the work given. Finally, when it is time for exams, the student will not be able to perform and he/she will suffer the consequences.
To avoid facing the consequences, one must complete a work or assignment given to them before the deadline and must have put in effort in the work, and he/she will excel.
Alex Lim (1)
Deadlines are important in our daily lives. Without deadlines and restrictions, many people tend to become preoccupied with other things and may ignore the work that they are assigned to. Eventually, when they have other things to do, they may not have enough time to finish their task and would rush through it. If we do not follow deadlines and finish our tasks late, it would give others a bad impression on us. Thus this would become a bad habit that will go on and our working life would be affected due to bad time management. We should practice time management well to avoid punishments for late work and being seen as an unreliable person by the society in the future. These consequences help to motivate us to do our work and hand them up on time as we would not want to get punished. Though most people hate deadlines, it is generally important to us, especially living in a first world country where life is always in a haste.
HuiYi :D (19)
"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Deadlines are the time by which something must be finished or submitted. Why give deadlines? Well, deadlines are given so that we would know when we have to get the work done. Deadline would give us pressure on when the work given has to be completed. Therefore, we would plan carefully our time so as to complete it before the deadline. If there is no deadline, we would drag the work or even not do the work at all. When a deadline is given, it is best not to ignore it. Why would someone ignore deadlines? They are either too lazy to complete the work or have poor time management. When we ignore deadlines, we would face consequences for our actions. For example, in a teenager everyday life, if homework given passed the deadline, we would be punished by either deducting marks in the assignment, staying back after school to complete assignment or even deducting marks from our social emotional learning (SEL). These punishments are given so as to make the student complete her work. If there is no punishment, students would probably not do homework even after exceeding the deadline given. Therefore, it is important to give deadlines for every work.
Nur Atikah (26)
Deadlines are very hard to meet and people who can't meet the deadline just ignore them . But ignoring the deadline is very bad as it may become a habit that one will carry until he or she begins their career . Firstly, when they do not get things done in the time given, their bosses will get angry and they can say goodbye to their jobs . As simple as that . Secondly, when they do not have jobs, they have no income to support themselves . Thus, life will be difficult for them . Sad . So, this is what I think the fall means . They jump down .
-Syafiq(22)
"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Everything in this world has a deadline. We need to follow them. For example, when we are working in a company, our boss gave us tasks to do; we need to complete them on time in order to be a responsible person. The same rule applies when we are studying in school. We need to hand in our homework on time also because there is a deadline. Deadline not only helps us to become a responsible person and also to manage our time well in order to complete a good piece of work. Without a deadline, we will become very lazy and think that doing work is not important. If we do not follow deadline, punishment and consequences will followed.
TAO KEYI (33)
"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
In the normal life of a student like us, we are given a lot of works with deadlines with them. Many of us will follow the deadline and hand in the work on time while there will always be a minority who would not follow the deadline and hand in late works, they may not even bother to hand in the work in the end. When we do not do our works or assignment, it will also affect our academic results. Like Mathematics, once we do not do it often, we will forget how to do. Same applies to the rest of the subjects.
For those people ignoring the deadlines, they have their own consequences. Teachers may give demerit points to them on their conduct, low marks for their late works. The teachers may also change their impression of the students too.
Just a simple thing like ignoring deadlines will affect us greatly. So, people! Remember to do your work and assignment and hand in them on time. Or else, you will end up like what I said above. J
Deadline is something that we all need to know and follow before we complete any of the task given by our teacher. It is also our responsibility to complete a piece of work given on time, so that teacher or your boss will not chase after you all the time. Some people may claimed that hand in work on time is very hard as sometime the time given is limited but it is the problem of time management. Ignored the deadline will also bring serious consequences, such as becoming an irresponsible person and become very lazy.
YANG FAN (37)
A deadline often refers to the time limit given to you by another person or event,to complete a certain task or such. Failure to do so will often result in unpleasant consequences, ranging from mild ones to severe ones.
That said, there are a variety of negative effects that a deadline can have on people. For one, we may not be able to cope with the pressure normally associated with deadlines, and that may result in our health deteriorating. And when humans are driven up a wall, we tend to affect those around us negatively, often without even knowing it.We may 'unintentionally' hurt loved ones and friends, and by doing so,in the long run,we hurt ourselves too. Most people can survive this pressure, but there are those unfortunate individuals who absolutely break down under its spell. The only option these people see is often the dreaded word:Suicide.
However, it is very important that we understand that we must never ignore a deadline given to us,with the exception of some of the above mentioned situations. As human beings, we cannot survive without deadlines. Deadlines keep us occupied and not idling around.Deadlines can allow us to gain new and valuable experiences, as well as new responsibilities and insights.Deadlines keep us who we are.Deadlines keep the world going. Basically, the world cannot survive without deadlines. However, if we choose to ignore our given deadlines, the consequences and effects may be no less severe than those mentioned above. For one, we will be scolded and punished by our superiors our whole life,as they will see you as an incompetent and lazy person. Some of us get used to this after a while, and thus remain such a person until the end.Others may not be so lucky,or unlucky, and the repeated punishments can cause them to be depressed, which can,and will, also lead to their demise.

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
We fall when we don't meet deadlines.
We fall when we meet the consequences of it.
I personally suffered consequences of ignoring deadlines. Why? I was too engrossed with something else and I know, there are others who are like me. And as the quote above suggests, I falled and failed one of my subjects.
Whenever I start to feel lazy or not-so motivated, I start to forget about deadlines. @#$% deadlines, I'd say.
But when reality seeps in, I start to feel motivated all of a sudden. It's because "the end" is near!
I will rush my work. When results come, I'd feel disappointed but I never leave any regrets because I get what I work for.
Of course, this does not happen all the time. But when it happens, it will result in this manner.
Who's with me?

A time limit or dateline is a narrow field of time, or particular point of time, by which an objective or task must be accomplished. In project management, deadlines are most often associated with milestone goals.
If a person does not bother to follow datelines and always hands up assignments late, then he or she is not a reliable person. Many of us completes our tasks and assignments because we do not want to receive any form of punishment as consequences of not handing up our work on time. Most of us also remember or datelines as we know that a positive attitude in work tells alot of our character and personality in life. Therefore, it is very important to keep track of our work progress and datelines so as to not tarnish our image of being a person who simpy does not care about datelines.

Ignoring deadlines only prove one thing. The student do not bother about that assignment. Ignoring deadlines does not mean that the person is unable to complete the assignment, instead, they just simply do not care. People who ignore deadlines will suffer its consequences.
These student`s results will definately drop. Imagnie if the student does not do a single assignment from the start of the wear, what will he/she learn??? Also, If this goes on long term, it might become a BAD habbit. When the students procced from secondary school to universities or going out to work... They will face a lot of problem with whoever is in charge of them.
I am just Happy to say that. I am not a person who ignores deadlines

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Deadlines motivate us to act, so as to finish what we are supposed to do.
Without deadlines, we will accomplish nothing as we will procrastinate and not work on what we need to do.
Ending up with nothing done, we will probably get scolded and punishments and even leave a bad impression to others as an irresponsible person.
By ignoring deadlines, we may even make it a bad habit instead.
We should not neglect what we need to do, instead, we should finish what we should do before the deadline.

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
A deadline is a narrow field of time, or particular point in time, by which an objective or task must be accomplished. In life, everyone have deadlines, be it a child, a student, teacher or even the government. To some, deadlines are a good thing, and to others, deadlines are something they dread. Well, deadlines gives us all a specific time to complete something, it allows us to plan our time and encourage us to work faster. But, on the other hand, deadlines, they make our lives stressful. They only lets us have a linited time to do something and we all have to meet that timing, whether we like it or not. Unfortunaltely, sometimes we are unable to complete our give task by its deadline that is when we have to face the consequences.Consequnces range and differ, depending on the situation, on the person who gave you the deadline, and how late you are in submitting the work. But whatever it is, there will still be consequences whe you ignore the deadlines. hence, I think it would be better if someone completes the work that is given by its deadline, then there would not be any consequences anymore, isn't it?

I believe that deadlines are important. Without deadlines, there will be no limited time that people need to hand up an assignment or to finish a task. "A deadline is a negative inspiration. Still, it is better than no inspiration at all." -Rita Mae Brown
I think that this quote is very true. Deadline does help me feel the need to finish the task on hand quickly. It also gives people the feeling that they have to do the assigned task , or there will be undesired consequences. If a person does not finish his work before the deadline is met, he would surely have the 'punishments'. For example, a person working who is asked to hand up a report on a certain date and time. When he fails to finish that report , his superiors will definitely be not happy with him. If this happens often, this person may not have a high bonus at the end of the year , and may even be fired. If I do not hand up my homework on time, I would receive demerit points, and teachers may even call up my parents. This is why there is a need for deadlines.

Millions of people, especially in cities, find that life has become a dizzying, exhausting rush. This has been a result in meeting deadlines - the list is endless. Many a time, people could not meet deadlines, reason being procrastination, which has affected many. A more serious form of procrastination, though many fail to recognize it as such, is chronic lateness. This may involve being late for appointments, social engagements, business meetings, late in submitting work or simply being late to work. Or it may involve tardiness in getting things done on time or in meeting deadlines. It could cost one friends, a job, a business deal and even, it has been said, one’s marriage and life. Not meeting deadlines clearly indicate that we are, somewhat, not trustworthy.

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
In life, if there is no fall, we would never learn no to give up. Deadlines are just something that we need to meet. Without deadline, work will never ever be handed in. When work is not handed in, on individual level, we never achieve anything at all. However, if there is individual level then it is obvious that the whole world would not function at all. Deadlines are something that we cannot ignore at all. If one choose to ignore, he would have difficulties working with people, completing their work and finally do have a job at all. Therefore I think that the word ‘deadline’ must be taught when we are young. Otherwise, the consequences would be what I have said above.

"The Fall! Ignoring Deadlines and Its Consequences"
Deadlines force action. It is no accident that Christmas presents are bought by 24 December, and bills were paid before you get involved in a lawsuit. This, is time pressure and we respond to it almost without awareness.
Ignoring deadlines violates the trust existing within one party and another, naming a teacher and a student for example. Skepticism will slowly by built up over time, creating tension within one another. Not only that, it also tarnishes your image of being able to complete what you are expected to do on time, and might also earn yourself a fair bit of castigation.
A positive attitude towards your work is important, and it should never be left ignored. Though however much it is almost never desired, meeting those deadlines reflects and tells others a lot about your personality, and your outlook towards life. Many who have a parochially negative outlook often find themselves unable to complete work assigned on time, and gaining dislike amongst those who view punctuality as the most (or one of the most) important values in life.

Ignoring deadlines is one way to make our marks go down, if all works are not completed on time, would any assignments even be completed. Besides, our own assignments are our own responsibility, if we would like to get good results, we should work hard. Deadline is just something to make us do work. Ignoring deadlines also shows your character , people would not like to go close to us and when it comes to project work, we will find themselves alone. Learning to do finish assignments before deadline at young prepares us to take on the challenges that we will face in the future, regardless doing work or in school. People who ignore deadlines from young found it hard to meet the deadlines when they grown up leading to their fall.

Deadlines giving people pressure but it give people motivation to finish their work on time.somtimes time just past faster when there is a deadline and causes many people to not finish their work. With their work not done, people would usually get scolded, people would not have good impression on them. For example, in our school, people who dont hand in their work on time who get very low for their social emotional learning (SEL) which causes their overall results to be lower then expected and would be unable to get good results and a class which they want to go.But sometimes, deadline is also a challenge.Deadline is some thing that give you inspiration and motivation to get things done.

When we ignore deadlines we will definitely get into trouble because deadlines are set for a reason--so that people will be able to finish their task on time. However, when we ignore deadlines, it goes to show that we have no discipline and poor time management skills. This will result in the person-in-charge losing trust in you when you ignore the deadlines. But nobody is a saint. Even the most responsible person could have missed deadlines before. The consequences can be minor, like getting detention, but the consequences could be grave too, like submitting an important document late which might affect your future. Therefore, we should all take some responsibilty and hand in work on time!

Deadlines,it maybe a scary word to some people but not all I supposed.Be it as a student or as a working adult, none of us can avoid this word when it comes to assignment or project especially.Deadlines are the time in which something must be finished or submitted or some may say the latest time for finishing something.Deadlines can bring both advantages and disadvantages to one. Deadlines can cause someone to have frustration and pressure as one may be unable to to hand in their assignment at the assigned time given. However deadlines do help some as a motivation source to help motive people to do what they are suppose to be in a limited short period of time given.
Of course, there will be harsh consequences to those who ignore deadlines given. In school, students would be subjected to harsh punishment depending on the degree itself of how bad the situation is.Usually teachers would deduct marks from a student's academic results or give them bad conduct, resulting to the student's disadvantage as one will have trouble thinking about their report in the report book or a fail to social emotional learning(SEL) .
Thus,I believed that in order to meet deadlines and produce good quality assignment in a limited time, one should practice good time management.Deadlines indeed are important in lives as a student or working adult as it push ourselves and reach for a better result each time.

Deadlines, are parts and parcels of our lives. Be it teens, working adults or even retired elderies, this word still revolve around their daily nonchalant lifestyles. Deadlines, causes frustrations and pressurise one when failed to meet them by the assigned time. It is usually, thought to be a motivational source to allow people to accomplise what they are supposed to do within a short period of time. Some however, would lament and complain over the fact that they are unable to do so. Hence, in order to meet deadlines constantly, one should exercise good time management :)
Deadlines usually help us to submit our work punctually and to score grades. Since regarded as a source of stress, one would therefore be forced to take responsibilty of his/her work and do it quickly.
What happens if deadlines are ignored? Well, in schools, severe punishments would obviously be applied to students. Though the punishments do not involve hitting the child or caning them, but failing to meet the deadline practically means a deduction in academic marks/grades. This can cause students to be unable to enter the class of their choice next year, or to fail badly in terms of their social emotional learning (SEL).
In conclusion, i believe that deadlines are essential to our lives as a student or even adults in the future. Only with them, we would be able to push and reach for a greater limit, cause there are no boundaries in learning :)
